HACKENSACK, N.J. – The no.13 FDU Knights learned their NCAA Women's Bowling Championship Regional location on Wednesday. FDU is headed to Lansing, Mi. in a region that features no. 3 Vanderbilt, no. 5 Wichita State and no. 22 Felician.
The Knights will first square off against Vanderbilt on Friday, April 4. The Commodores defeated FDU by just 16 pins when they met in November.
The four-team region will entail a double-elimination tournament consisting of mega matches. The only match that would strictly be a baker best-of-seven is the final "if necessary" championship match.
Wichita State, despite being ranked fifth in March's NTCA poll, is the #4 overall seed in this year's NCAA tournament. They won this year's CVSA crown.
In a bit of a coincidence, Felician joins the Knights in Lansing. The two schools are separated by less than 15 miles but will travel across multiple states for a potential NCAA tournament matchup. Felician earned the CACC's automatic bid.
The Knights are 70-30 overall. They are coming off a 3-0 weekend that won them their sixth NEC tournament title in program history.
The Regional begins on April 4 and will conclude the following day.
The winner of the region will book their ticket to the final four in Las Vegas on April 11.
