FDU's Season Concludes at the National Collegiate Bowling Championship

LANSING, Mi. – FDU's run at the 2025 National Collegiate Bowling Championship came to an end in the Lansing Regional on Saturday morning. The Knights were upended by a sizzling Vanderbilt squad in a mega match, 2-0.

Yesterday, Vanderbilt defeated FDU 2-1 in a thrilling opening match.

Today, Vanderbilt came out firing. They struck 18 of their first 25 frames and built a significant lead in the traditional round. FDU made up some ground in the second portion of the round, but it was not enough. The Commodores won it 1083-1010.

Notably, Jadeyn Mabry bowled a 232 in traditional. She closed her game with eight-straight strikes. Allysha Howard shot a 227.

FDU needed to win the baker round to extend the match. Again, Vanderbilt built a sizable advantage. This time it was by a total of 51 pins. The Knights fought back admirably, defeating Vanderbilt by 38 pins in game three. This cut the lead to 13.

In the fourth game, FDU narrowed the lead down to ten. This set up a decisive fifth game. The Commodores responded with a near perfect game, totaling a 274. This gave them a 1040-924 baker victory and sealed the match.

FDU finishes the season with a strong record of 71-32. They were the 16th team in program history to compete in the NCAA tournament.
