HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The FDU Knights (0-9, 0-0) dropped game two of their three-game series against the Marshall Herd (4-6, 0-0) on Saturday afternoon, falling 12-3 at Jack Cook Field.

Jeremy Cheeseman delivered a strong start for the Knights, tossing four scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and striking out two.
FDU struck first in the second inning, putting up two early runs.
Nate Dudeck led off with a single to center field, followed by a walk from Cheeseman to put two runners on.
Hunter Ray then reached on a throwing error by the second baseman, allowing Dudeck to cross the plate for the game's first run. With the bases loaded,
Diego Urreta worked a walk to bring home another run, giving the Knights a 2-0 lead.
The Knights added another run in the third inning to extend their lead to 3-0.
However, Marshall responded in the fifth inning, plating six runs to take control. The Herd capitalized on five walks in the frame, with three of those runners eventually scoring. By the end of the inning, Marshall had surged ahead, 6-3.
The Herd continued their offensive push in the sixth, adding four more runs. AJ Havrilla delivered an RBI double, and Tyler Kamerer followed with a bases-clearing triple to make it 10-3.
Marshall tacked on two more runs in the seventh on a single and a double. FDU was unable to mount a comeback, ultimately falling by a final score of 12-3.

The Knights will wrap up the series against Marshall on Sunday, March 2, at Jack Cook Field in Huntington, W.Va. First pitch is set for 1 p.m., and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
