MALIBU, Calif. – FDU men's volleyball lost in straight sets to No. 11 Pepperdine in a tough road match earlier today at Firestone Fieldhouse. The Knights struggled to find consistency on offense, finishing with a .027 hitting percentage while committing 27 attack errors. Despite a solid start in the first set, the Knights couldn't keep pace with Pepperdine's efficient offense, which hit .238 and recorded nine total kills in the first set alone.

Jamal Ellis Carballo was a standout for FDU, leading the team with eight kills and adding three digs, while setter Jose Angarita dished out 21 assists and chipped in a team high 5 digs. Ultimately, the Knights found difficulty in scoring against Pepperdine's defense, which tallied 9 total blocks.

The loss moves the Burgundy and Blue to 5-4 on the season. They will look to regroup as they head back on the road to face St. Thomas Aquinas on February 28 at 5 p.m.
