BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - For the second time this season, and the second time in his career, Terrence Brown is the NEC/Atlantic Tomorrow's Office Player of the Week. Brown scored 28 points and secured ten rebounds in FDU's conference win at Wagner on Sunday afternoon.
While FDU was on the road this week, Brown still looked right at home in the lane. The Knights' leading scorer got to the rim with ease and consistently cut by Wagner's defense en route to finishes at the rim. His scoring efforts helped FDU overcome an early 13-point deficit on their way to a convincing 71-59 victory. This matched a career high in points and also marked the first double-double of Brown's career.
Brown is not only FDU 's leading scorer but also ranks first in the conference at 21.6 points per game. As of January 6, he sits eighth in the country in scoring. The Minnesota native has put together eleven games this season with 20 points or more. Teams have had a difficult time not fouling Brown when he attacks the rim, too. The sophomore has shot 21 more free throws than anyone else in the NEC.
Outside of his prolific scoring, Brown currently leads the team in rebounding at 6.1 boards per game and is one of FDU's top on-ball defenders. He is second in the NEC in steals.
FDU and Brown are back in action this Friday, January 10, at Le Moyne. Fans can catch them back in Hackensack on Sunday, January 12, at 1 p.m. FDU will celebrate Tom Green Day when the Knights take on Saint Francis. Tickets are on sale now.
