BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Following their first week of play, men's volleyball has picked up two NEC weekly awards with junior
Dylan McFadden securing NEC/First Point Player of the Week and senior
Grady Hoffman with NEC/First Point Defensive Player of the Week.
McFadden had an excellent showing to open his junior campaign, logging a total of 30 kills on the week. In the four-set win over Barry, the Farmington, N.Y. native tallied 10 kills, seven digs and one block. His momentum kept rolling as he totaled 20 kills, one ace, seven digs and four blocks in the five-set loss to Sacred Heart.
Starting off his senior season with confidence, Hoffman also had an impressive showing for the first week of play. Logging a total of seven assists and 21 digs in the two matches, the Palos Verdes Estates native proved to be a key part of the Knights defense.
FDU will be back in action on January 24, as the Knights face Roberts Wesleyan. First serve is set for 6 pm in the Bogota Savings Bank Center and will be streamed on NEC Front Row.
