FDU Finishes Non-Conference Slate with Draw Against Bucknell

TEANECK, N.J. – Nearly a month after their home opener, FDU returned to University Stadium to take on Bucknell Sunday afternoon. 90 minutes of action came and went, but neither team could find the back of the net. The 0-0 draw moves FDU's record to 0-3-5.

"It was really a game that was played in the middle of the field," said head coach Eric Teepe. "I felt we were too tentative to attack their backline. I thought we had good chances and were always looking for a better chance."

The game's defining moment came in the 57th minute. A FDU handball gave Bucknell a penalty shot. Freshman goalkeeper Rosemarie Leblanc denied Meghan White's initial attempt and then stuffed a secondary shot off the rebound, as well. These two stops proved to save the result for the Knights.

Leblanc made seven total saves in her third shutout of her debut season.

FDU was outshot 14-4 in the match and failed to put a shot on goal.
