BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – FDU's Nilaja Wiltshire has secured her first NEC weekly honor of the outdoor season, winning Rookie and Field Athlete of the Week. Wiltshire had a monster performance at the NSU Invitational on April 5-6, participating in the women's shot put. Her mark of 15.33m was not only a personal best and good enough for a first-place finish, but it also shattered the FDU outdoor shot-put record. The previous record of 14.71 was held by Nilaja's mother Njeri Curtis who set it in 1995. With this mark, Wiltshire sits comfortably at the top of NEC standings, with the next best throw being 12.90m from Wenesha Stewart of Central Connecticut.

FDU returns to action on April 10 as the Knights head to Saint Peter's for a midweek dual.
