HACKENSACK, N.J. – The FDU Knights will open the first round of NEC playoffs on their own court at the Bogota Savings Bank Center against the LIU Sharks. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Knights took on Central Connecticut last Thursday and came home with a 70-56 victory. The Knights shot an impressive 46.3% from the floor and went 8-15 (53.3%) from three. Gaitley's bunch continues to impress with their defense as they held the Seahawks to single-digit scoring in the final quarter. As well as their ability to crash the glass which resulted in 41 rebounds tonight. FDU saw consistent production from
Staci Williams from three. The freshman guard went 3-6 from deep and tallied 18 points.
BALANCED SCORING
The Knights saw four of their players score in double-figures:

Lilly Parke (15),
Abby Conklin (13) and
Teneisia Brown (12).
BEHIND ENEMY LINES
The Sharks enter this game with an overall record of 8-21 and sit 5-11 in conference play. In their last game, LIU came away with a 74-65 win over Stonehill. In their 29 games this season, LIU is averaging just under 58.2 points and 35.7 rebounds per game.
SCOUT'S CORNER
The Sharks have found steady production in Ashley Austin who averages 15.3 points per game. The senior guard is shooting just over 41.9% from the floor and has collected 64 steals this season. Amaya Dowdy is the Sharks leading rebounder with an average of 6 per game.
PACING THE SIDELINES
Rene Haynes is now in her 4th season as head coach of the LIU Sharks, but the team is currently being led by Chris Dunn.
