Women's Fencing

Women's Fencing Competes at Haverford

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Women's fencing wrapped up their competition schedule for this calendar year on Saturday afternoon. The Knights competed at the D'Arnstein '09 Invitational hosted by Haverford. 

In their battle against Drexel, FDU earned an emphatic 19-2 victory. Freshman Epee Jade Burnett went 3-0 against the Dragons. 

The Knights then lost a tight one to Haverford, 16-13. 

Sherleene Yunes went 3-0 against Bryn Mawr, in an epee portion the Knights won 7-2. Gabriella Como earned a 3-0 record to help the Knights win the foil 6-3. They then put up no contest in the saber. 

FDU closed the day with a 14-4 victory over Swarthmore. 

The Knights are back in action January 18 at the Penn Invitational.
