POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The FDU Knights continued their season today at the Vassar Invitational. The competition featured one-on-one competition between schools each round.

Nicole Gavrilko closed out the day with an overall 19-2 record and led the Knights with five three-win rounds in competitions against: Yeshiva, Drew, Denison, Vassar, and Tufts.
FDU opened the day against Wellesley in round 2 which featured a 2-1 start on the day for Gavrilko. Wellesley totaled 23 victories over the Knights with 4.
Round 3 featured competition against Yeshiva. The Knights in epee and foil came away with a collective 9-0 clean sweep in each event along with
Zoe Rupp in sabre who went 3-0.
The Knights fell to Yale in round 4 by a total score of 22-3 with two of the FDU victories being in epee from the hands of Gavrilko.
Round 5 against Drew gave the Knights seven victories, four of which were in epee with Gravilko going for a clean sheet with another three-win round.
FDU saw Denison in round 6 where they pulled out four wins for the rotation, all in epee. Gavrilko logged here third 3-0 round on the day.
The Knights faced Vassar in round 7 where they compiled a total score of 10 with the help of five victories in foil.
Gabriella Como and Gavrilko both recorded a clean three-win round to boost the Knights.
FDU logged four victories in round 8 against Tufts with all four victories coming from epee. Gavrilko closed the final round with her fifth three-win set.

The Knights take the strip again at the Philadelphia Invite at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa. at the Tse Center on January 18.
