SYRACUSE, N.Y. – FDU women's volleyball took their second conference victory earlier today with a sweep of Le Moyne. Despite a slow hitting day for the Knights, a productive defense and a season-best serving game led the Burgundy and Blue to their seventh consecutive win.
Set one saw an offensive struggle for both teams, who could not seem to find their footing at the net. Despite the trouble hitting, the Knights were solid in every other aspect, picking up six service aces and six blocks in set one alone. Reigning two-time NEC Player of the Week
Kylie Nott logged a team high three kills but shined on defense as she tallied four blocks. With a steady performance, the Burgundy and Blue cruised past the Dolphins for a 25-22 victory.
Riding off their momentum from set one, the Knights jumped to an early 13-9 lead to kick off set two. With a stronger offensive performance, the Burgundy and Blue found ways to score and keep Le Moyne on their toes. FDU tallied 17 kills and seven errors for a hitting clip of .244. Angela Marchetto logged a team high four kills on the set. With a hot hitting front row, the Knights won set two 25-20 to take a 2-0 match lead.
Set three was just as productive for the Burgundy and Blue, as they held the Dolphins to a .107 hitting percentage. Graduate Student
Eleonora Tosi logged three kills and one block on the set, securing her milestone of 1000 career points. 11 kills, two blocks and one ace led the Knights to a 25-19 set and match victory.
FDU was led by Tosi and Nott who tallied seven kills apiece. Senior

Emily Van O'Linda who totaled 15 digs on the night.
