BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - FDU graduate student left-handed pitcher Alayna Savaglio was named the Northeast Conference Pitcher of the Week Tuesday in the final weekly announcement of the 2023 campaign. Savaglio threw 14.0 scoreless innings, ending her final season at FDU having tossed 26-consecutive scoreless frames.

The Knights' ace, also an NEC Prime Performer this week, went 2-0 with wins over Monmouth and Wagner allowing only 10 hits in the two outings earning a pair of shutout victories.

Hailing from Middletown, N.Y., Savaglio held opponents to a .200 batting average at the plate while striking out 15.

For Savaglio, this is the second NEC Pitcher of the Week nod this season as she earned the nod on February 14.
