Successful Weekend for Four at Virginia Challenge

Charlottesville, VA - FDU sent a small squad down to the University of Virginia to compete in the Virginia Challenge at Lannigan Field, and it was a weekend of success for four athletes who brought their A-game.

Senior Shantelle Riley set a new personal best with a lightning-fast 11.71 seconds in the 100-meter sprint and now leads the conference over .6 seconds. Meanwhile, sophomore Malik Ricketts showcased his talent in the 400-meter dash and finished eighth with an impressive 47.79-second effort and now sits at third in the conference. 

In the field events, senior sensation Salif Mane dominated the triple jump and took home first place with a remarkable 16.54-meter mark. Not far behind, Taeco O'Garro  secured third place with a solid 15.75-meter jump. The Knights now sit at one and two in the conference standings for tripple jump.
