Track and Field Announces New Assistant Coach

Head Coach Wesley Stephens announced the addition of Kervin Morgan to the FDU Knights Men's and Women's track and field coaching staff. Morgan comes to FDU after serving on the Stony Brook staff as an assistant coach for men's and women's track and field since March 2022.

Prior to his time at Stony Brook, Morgan spent three years as an assistant coach for men's and women's track and field at previous NEC school, St. Francis College Brooklyn, where he oversaw men's and women's sprints, hurdles, and jumps. In 2021, Morgan guided the Terriers to five new school records: women's high jump, men's discus and shot put, men's triple jump, and the men's 4x400 meter relay.

Morgan started his coaching career at the high school level for Hastings-on-Hudson High School in Westchester County from 2016-2017.

As a student-athlete, Morgan began his collegiate career at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas, where he received his Associate's in Computer Science. Morgan won two NJCAA national titles with the Texans in 2009 and 2010. He then attended fellow NEC Conference member LIU-Brooklyn from 2013-15 where he was captain of the track team and received his Bachelor of Science in Sports Science.

"I'm excited to add Coach Morgan to the Knights Cross Country/Track Family." Stephens say. "His familiarity with the NEC Conference and depth of knowledge in the sprints, hurdles and throws will help the program reach our immediate and long term goals."
