Malene Nielsen tallied 5 saves during the match but couldn't keep the Hawks out despite a solid performance.
"In the first minute we had a chance to be dangerous, but we allowed the chance to escape us and did a poor job of recovering in behind which led to a goal that put us on our heels right off the bat" said head coach Eric Teepe. "Our mindset for the next match is to keep learning, we know what we are up against but we must get on the field and compete while continuously improving."
FDU hits the road for the final game in their road stand to face Virginia (3-0-0) in Charlottesville, Va. at Klöckner Stadium. Facing one of the best teams in the nation will be very challenging but it will be a good test for the team before NEC conference play starts. The game will air live on ACC Network Extra where you can tune in to catch the action.
