Eugene, OR. - Salif Mane jumped his way to a Second Team All-American title on the nation's biggest stage with a twelfth place finish in the men's triple jump competition at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field on Friday night.
Salif's Season

The sophomore secured his Second Team All-American status with a mark of 15.96m, awarding him a twelfth place finish.Â

This All-American status comes after Mane punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships with an eighth place finish at the NCAA Preliminary Championships with a mark of 15.90m.

Mane has had an outstanding and record-breaking season as he has broken the FDU program record for triple jump a whopping six times.

Prior to the NCAA Championships, Mane earned a first-place finish at the IC4As Championship with a mark of 16.00m.

Mane became the first Knight to attain an outdoor All-American title since 1993 when Wagner Marseille became an All-American in the 110m hurdles.

Mane is the first student-athlete in FDU history to gain All-American status in the triple jump competition, and he has now earned this title twice in his career.

The Bronx native has done nothing but break records for FDU's track and field program. He currently holds the outdoor triple jump record for FDU with a mark of 16.50m from his outstanding performance at the 2022 Aggie Classic at North Carolina A&T.

Mane ended the outdoor season fifth in the nation and third in the East in triple jump while also holding the first place spot in the NEC for both triple jump and long jump.

When asked about his season, Salif responded, "I didn't finish my season the way I wanted, but I learned a lot along the way and hope to return stronger emotionally and physically next year."
