Miami - FDU Women's Track & Field jump started their outdoor season with a trip to Miami, FL. where they recorded some top finishes and personal bests at the Hurricane Invitational hosted by the University of Miami at Cobb Stadium.
How it Happened

Junior Shantelle Riley recorded a personal best and fourth place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 11.88.

Jodi Alston also competed in the 100m dash and ran her personal best of 12.39. Alston ran a second personal best as she competed in the 200m dash and finished with a time of 25.30.

Lisa Warfvinge recorded a new personal best in the triple jump competition with a mark of 12.15m which also earned her a fifth place finish. With this mark, Warfvinge now holds the second place spot in the Northeast Conference for triple jump.

Chloe Lucas and Jazmyn Lewis placed fourth and fifth in the 400m dash with times of 56.56 and 56.74, respectively.
Thoughts from Coach Milwood-Lee
"I am pleased with our performances as a whole", said Coach Milwood-Lee. "FDU was well represented this week. We will now go over our deficiencies and work to improve on our season opener."
Next Up
The Knights will be back to competition on March 26th as the team returns to New Jersey, and will be heading to the Rider 5-Way in Lawrence Township, NJ. at the Michael P. Brady Track.
