STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - FDU women's track & field dominated at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships as the Knights picked up first-place finishes in five events at Ocean Breeze Complex on Friday.

How it Happened

Shantelle Riley notched a pair of first-place finishes in the 60m and 200m dashes with a 7.69 and 24.78 time, respectively. Riley currently ranks in the top two in both events in the NEC while holding the FDU program record for the 200m dash.

Lisa Warfvinge picked up a pair of top finishes of her own in the long jump and triple jump events. Warfvinge holds the best mark in NEC rankings for the long jump and ties for second in triple jump.Â

Dominyka Leskauskaite followed directly behind Warfvinge in the triple jump with a 12.31m mark and second-place finish.

Chloe Lucas earned the gold in the 800m race with a personal-best 2:19.29 time to rank fifth in the conference. This is the fourth meet this season that the freshman has secured a personal record.

Jazmyn Lewis secured second place in the 200m with a 58.23 time.Â

Notching a personal record in the 500m race with a time of 1:19.93, Daniella Griffith finished third in the event at Ocean Breeze.

The 4x400 relay team consisting of Riley, Lucas, Lewis and Griffith finished with the gold. This is the team's third time landing the top spot this season.

Shaunelle Riley landed a personal record and second-place finish in the 60m hurdles with an 8.97 time.
Next Up
The Knights return to competition on Friday as the team splits to attend the Rutgers Open and Fasttrack National Invitational.
