HACKENSACK, N.J. - Last hosting Mount St. Mary's in an 11-point loss (67-56) for the Burgundy and Blue on January 27, the Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team (1-15, 2-7 NEC) is set to welcome Central Connecticut (5-16, 2-6 NEC) to Hackensack on Sunday, January 30, at 1 p.m. live on NEC Front Row. The contest was originally scheduled for Saturday, January 29, but was postponed a day due to concerns of inclement weather impacting both institutions.
FDU received a win in the conference standings following Mount St. Mary's COVID-19 related forfeit on December 29 giving the Knights a 1-0 start in NEC play. Following the cancellations against Merrimack (January 6) and Bryant (January 8), FDU was assigned a loss in the NEC standings for each contest. The forfeits do not impact the Knights' overall record.

Scouting the Knights
Mount St. Mary's picked up their fourth-straight NEC victory on January 27 as the Mountaineers topped FDU (1-15, 2-7 NEC) 67-56 on January 27 at Stratis Arena inside the Rothman Center. Reigning NEC Rookie of the Week
Anquan Hill led all FDU scorers with 15 points. The Philadelphia, Pa. native posted his second double-double in as many games after the freshman logged 10 boards, including eight off the defensive glass. FDU's defensive forced 10 turnovers, converting four for steals. Although his night was cut short due to foul trouble, freshman
Oscar Berry earned his seventh start of the season and posted four points, including the game-tying to get FDU on the scoreboard, and two rebounds in 12 minutes on the floor.
Greg Herenda's side recorded 24 points in the paint and 14 points off turnovers. Staying with 14, it's also the number of bench points for the Burgundy and Blue in Thursday's game. "We just came out and did not have any pop from the get-go offensively and give Mount St. Mary's credit for taking advantage of that. They have a number of players back with a great deal of experience and it showed tonight. We just need to continue to improve on a daily basis, it is really that plain and simple," said head coach Greg Herenda.
