HACKENSACK, N.J. - After beginning conference play with three-consecutive road games, the Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team (1-12, 2-4 NEC) welcome St. Francis Brooklyn (4-13, 1-5 NEC) to Stratis Arena in Hackensack in what will be just the second home game for the Knights this season after last welcoming Fairfield to Bergen County back on December 15. As part of Teaneck Night, residents of Teaneck can use promotional code "

FDU received a win in the conference standings following Mount St. Mary's COVID-19 related forfeit on December 29 giving the Knights a 1-0 start in NEC play. Following the cancellations against Merrimack (January 6) and Bryant (January 8), FDU was assigned a loss in the NEC standings for each contest. The forfeits do not impact the Knights' overall record.

Scouting the Knights
Traveling to Staten Island, N.Y. in what was the Knights' fourth-consecutive road game, the Knights fell to first-place Wagner at the Spiro Sports Center 95-64. A single-digit ballgame for the first six minutes of action, FDU's defense silenced the Seahawks as sophomore
Joe Munden Jr. made his return to the starting lineup; this was the Harlem, N.Y. native's first starting nod in league play. Freshman
Antoine Jacks led the Burgundy and Blue with 11 points. The Greenbelt, Md. product also contributed four rebounds and a steal. 'Twan and fellow rookie
Ibrahim Wattara each shot .750 from the field in their final four attempts on the evening. Sophomore co-captain
John Square Jr. posted an .800 mark on 4-of-5 shooting in his final five attempts of the contest. The lead changed hands twice in the contest with FDU's largest lead of the game coming with 18:13 to go in the first half, a three-point advantage for the Knights. FDU logged 16 points off turnovers in the bout and sank a season-high 22 free throws. "Wagner showed why right now they are the best team in our conference," said head coach
Greg Herenda. "They are an old school, hard-working team with talent; we were not ready to match their physicality and toughness tonight. Obviously we are trying to find ourselves right now and it will happen, but tonight was an eye-opening experience for our guys."
