BRANCHBURG, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson men's golf team opened the 2021 spring season tied with Fairfield for a second-place finish at the Peacock Invitational on Monday afternoon. The Knights shot a combined one-round score of 302 at the Fox Hollow Golf Club (Par 70, 6,403 yds.).

How it Happened:

• Florian Schroedl got off to a strong start, notching a birdie on the first hole and finishing the front nine at only one-over-par.
• Sitting at +3 after the first nine holes, sophomore Freddie Spencer logged two birdies in the back nine to finish tied for eighth overall.
• Simon Uribe Garcia and Florian Schroedl did not log a double bogey on the day, combining for two birdies in the process
• Two of five Knights notched multiple birdies on the day.
• Of the 80 golfers participating in the Peacock Invitational, every Knight finished in the top 20 in overall standings.
