PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. - The Knights continued their upward trajectory at the 2026 Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge at True Blue G.C., finishing 7th out of a 16-team field that featured many strong schools.
The team ended the week on a total score of +10 (294, 286, 294), the best of their season to date. The second round was the highlight of the week, featuring 15 birdies out of the 4 counting scores on the way to a -2 total.
Pietro Maria Piccoli led the Knights this week, showing signs of returning to the excellent golf he was playing at the end of the Fall season. Despite opening with a 74 (+2) on day 1, the Italian bounced back with 2 under par rounds to finish T13th on -1.
Kuang (Jordan) Kyaw was next on the leaderboard for FDU, finishing in T23 on +1 for the week. In his first start of the Spring, Kyaw came out firing with a round of 70 (-2), which featured 4 birdies and an eagle. Contributing to the team score all 3 days, the soon-to-be graduate was a big contributor to the team's success this week.
Freshman Shreyas Semanthy continued his good form this week, ending with respectable scores of 73, 71, 77 (+5). In a field of 90 total players, Semanthy was 4th in Par 3 scoring average on 2.93 (-1) and hit 90% of fairways, displaying his consistent ball striking.

The Knights will look to build on this positive showing next at the Shark Invitational hosted by fellow NEC member, LIU, at Nassau Country Club in New York, NY, on April 13th.
