SOMERSET, N.J. - The Northeast Conference announced senior Lisa Warfvinge as NEC Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday following her first place finish in long jump at the Bill Ward Invitational.

The Vargberg, Sweden native notched a 5.64 meter mark at the season opener in Staten Island, securing the top spot. Warfvinge's long jump mark was the longest of any athlete in the NEC this week.

In addition to her first place finish, Warfvinge topped her personal record for the 60-meter dash with an eight-second time.

The Knights return to competition on January 8 as they travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to compete in the Angry Birds Meet hosted by Lehigh.
