SOMERSET, N.J. - The Northeast Conference announced today that due to COVID-19 protocols, both the Fairleigh Dickinson men's and women's basketball conference openers, scheduled for Wednesday, December 29, vs. Mount St. Mary's have been cancelled. Per the league's COVID-19 forfeit and cancellation policy, both Knights teams will be assigned a win in the NEC standings, giving each of the sides a 1-0 start in conference play.

The COVID-19 related forfeits do not impact the teams' overall wins-loss record per NCAA policy.

FDU returns to action on Friday, December 31, when the women welcome Saint Francis U (Pa.) to Stratis Arena inside the Rothman Center at 2 p.m., while the men hit the road and travel to the Red Flash in Loretto, Pa. at DeGol Arena with tip-off scheduled for 4 p.m. Both games will air live on NEC Front Row.
