Scouting the Knights
FDU put up a strong defensive effort on November 24 at NJIT in a 62-54 defeat at the hands of the Highlanders prior to the Thanksgiving break. Led by sophomore
Sébastien Lamaute's 14 points offensively, the Knights held an early lead throughout the first half and embraced the toughness of the contest. The 62 points scored by NJIT were the fewest by any opponent faced by
Greg Herenda's squad in the early going of non-conference play while FDU showed they could carry the momentum from their prior game at St. John's which was truly a tale of two halves. Reigning Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week freshman
Ibrahim Wattara contributed a career-high 10 rebounds, eight points and one assists, as the Bronx, N.Y. native saw 28 minutes of work in Newark.
