Scouting the Big Red
Cornell return home for their second home game of the season following a 1-2 road trip over the last five days. Most recently, Cornell knocked off Binghamton 67-57 thanks in no small part to Theresa Grace Mbanefo scoring 27 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, alongside Olivia Snyder getting a double-double of her own with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Mbanefo, a senior forward, leads the team in points (14.8) and rebounds (9.3) per game, and is followed closely behind by Snyder, who is averaging 11 points and 7.8 rebounds per game in Cornell's first four games.
Scouting the Knights
The Knights are hoping to bounce back following their loss in the home opener against Bucknell on Wednesday. The Bison stormed back to win in come-from-behind fashion following a strong fourth quarter from Bucknell. FDU were led in the game by Madison Stanley, who scored 16 points on six-for-nine shooting from the field, and three-for-four shooting from three. Over the first three games of the season, Dahomée Forgues is the team's top scorer with 18.7 points and 10-for-16 shooting from three over the course of the year. Forgues and Chloe Wilson both earned NEC Prime Performer honors also well for their work in the first season – making FDU the only school in the conference to have two named as Prime Performers. Wilson has averaged 13.3 points and 6.3 rebounds over the first three games of the season.
