SOUTH KENT, Conn. – The Fairleigh Dickinson men's golf team completed the Hartford Invitational with a strong surge on Tuesday morning, finishing the final day of competition with a combined three-round score of 871 (292, 285, 294), earning the Knights a 6
th place finish and one of the lowest 54-hole totals in program history.
FINAL TEAM LEADERBOARD
The Knights of UCF concluded the day in first place overall with a final scorecard of 840 (285, 279, 276), as FDU finished 31 strokes behind the leader.
Tallying a birdie in each of his last four holes, Freshman
Melan Dhaubhadel finished a spectacular day with a third-round score of 69 (-3) at Bull's Bridge Golf Club and placing second overall with a combined score of 207 (71, 67, 69).
Senior
Florian Schroedl finished with an impressive day as well, tabbing an overall score of 214 (72, 69, 73) after completing the third round at one-over-par, leaving him tied for 14th.
Senior
Andrew Morris placed third among the Knights after shooting a 78 (+6) this afternoon, concluding the Hartford Invitational with an total score of 225 (75, 72, 78) which placed him tied for 45th overall.
Rounding out the scorecard was junior
Marti Arribas who logged a three-round score of 227 (75, 77, 75), while senior
Patrick Brennan followed closely behind with an overall mark of 228 (74, 77, 77).
