Natalie Zamora Signs Professional Contract in Norway

HACKENSACK, N.J. – Recent Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball graduate Natalie Zamora has signed her first professional contract to play with the Baerum Basket Club in Norway.

Zamora started all 30 games this past year for the Knights as a guard and played in 118 games with 65 starts over her four-year career with the Burgundy and Blue. She led the Northeast Conference last season with an average of 2.3 steals per game and led the Knights with 2.3 assists per game as well. She also averaged 7.6 points per game and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting .781 at the free throw line (57-73) and led the team in minutes played with 909 (30.3 per game).

"Although I didn't have a chance to coach Natalie, we as a program are very excited about Natalie's signing with Baerum Basket and representing the Knight family overseas," head coach Angelika Szumilo said. "She has a bright future ahead of her, and this opportunity is a result of the hard work she's put in over her time at FDU."

Over the course of her four years with the Knights, Zamora totaled 604 points, 276 rebounds, 184 assists and 140 steals while playing 2,605 minutes. She made 192 field-goals, including 91 three-pointers, and shot .777 from the charity stripe (129-166) in her career as well.

Zamora was the Knight's leader in assists and steals as both a junior and a senior, finishing with 2.2 apg and 1.2 spg in the 2017-18 season when she helped lead the Knights to their most wins since the 1992-93 season.

Baerum Basket is one of the oldest basketball clubs in Norway and competes in the top professional league, the BLNO, in the country.
