WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's track and field team opened its 2019-20 season on Saturday afternoon at the Crowell Open on the campus of Army University. The Burgundy and Blue competed in the weight throw event.

Ashleigh Convery, and freshman
Stacey Saint-Paul compete in the weight throw.
Saint-Paul made her collegiate debut at the Crowell Open and had a team-best toss of 13.06 meters to set a PR. She finished ninth overall and was the lone Knight to reach the final. The 13.06 meter throw came on her sixth and final toss.
Convery opened her season with a 12.04 meter toss in the weight throw. That mark came on her first throw and helped her finish in 10th overall. Peppernick finished right behind Convery in 12th place with a 11.55 meter throw.
The Burgundy and Blue will return to action on Sunday when they host the Knights Classic on Senior Day. Seniors
