The Knights dominated the field and the leaderboard as seniors
Mailen Domecq Chantry and
Gabriela Santini finished first and second, respectively, while freshman
Julia Warke locked up fourth place.
As a team, the Knights topped second-place Sacred Heart by 29 strokes thanks to a final-round score of 309, which was the best single-day performance of the championship. Across the three rounds, the Knights amassed a stroke total of 943 (320-314-309).
"I couldn't be happier for this team," said head coach
Rob Warren following the championship ceremony. "We've had so many great teams through the years. This team had a very special year winning four events this spring so it's gotta rank as one of the best. It's just nice to close it out with a championship."
Chantry saved her best for last as she fired an even-par 73 in Sunday's final round and finished +14 for the Championship to earn medalist honors. Santini carded a 3-over-par 76 across her final 18 holes and was one stroke back of her teammate at +15.
