KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball junior forward Mike Holloway Jr. garnered National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC)  Division I All-District Second Team honors on Tuesday afternoon. The teams are selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division I, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America.

This is the first all-district recognition for the third-year Knight, who was named All-Northeast Conference Second team earlier this month.

"I am very happy for Mike to be honored by the NABC for having another terrific season," said head coach Greg Herenda. "For the coaches of our district to distinguish Mike for all that he has done for our university this year is a tremendous accomplishment and he is very deserving."

Holloway netted his second all-conference award in his third season with the Knights by earning All-NEC Second Team honors this season. As a freshman, the Knights big man was named to the NEC All-Rookie Team. Arguably the most dominant post player in the conference, Holloway enjoyed career-highs in points (13.4) and rebounds (7.0) this season with three double-doubles.

On his all-district recognition Holloway said, "I am honored to be named NABC All-District Second Team. Moments like these are why I push myself so hard and work on my game everyday."

The Pittsgrove, New Jersey native ranked fifth in the NEC in rebounding and shot 48.3 percent on the campaign. This season he became the 27^th Knight to reach 1,000 career points and is just the 86th player in NEC history to amass 1,000 points and five hundred career rebounds. Holloway started all 31 games for FDU.
