Men's Tennis Looks For First Win at Brown

TEANECK N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson men's tennis team will look for its first win on Saturday as the Knights travel to Rhode Island and square off against Brown University.

LAST TIME OUT
The Knights dropped a tough decision to the Pride of Hofstra last Saturday, 5-2. Miki Nobuzawa and William Bourne tallied the two wins in singles for the Knights. In doubles, the pair of Niclas Pietsch and Moric Budinszky garnered a 6-4 win.

BOURNE READY
Bourne has started 2018 with a bang, winning all three of his matches at the NJIT Winter Invitational, and his singles win at Hofstra. The senior has won four singles matches in a row and will look to improve that streak on Saturday.

ABOUT BROWN
The Bears come into Saturday's action with a 4-0 record, defeating Bryant, Quinnipiac, Fordham, and Fairfield. Brown is led by Jack Haworth and Jacob Walker who will play at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles.

NEC PRESEASON POLL
The Knights were picked to third in the Northeast Conference. Bryant was picked as the favorite, while the Red Flash were just slotted ahead of the Knights in second. The Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, NJ will once again serve as the venue for the seven-team single-elimination NEC championship from April 20-22.

NEXT UP
The Knights will return to Newark on Sunday, February 11, and take on the Highlanders of NJIT at 1:00 pm.
