Series History:  This is the 93rd meeting in the all-time series between these programs with FDU holding a 53-39 advantage, including a win this season in the Northeast Conference opener.  FDU opened NEC play with an 86-77 victory over the Terriers on January 2.  Under head coach Greg Herenda the Knights are 2-3 against St. Francis Brooklyn.  The teams split a pair of meetings in 2013-14 and the Terriers swept both contests last year.

Three Straight Decided Late: The Knights last three games have been incredibly close with all three being won by FDU in the final seconds.  On Thursday, February 4 the Knights needed a tying basket from redshirt junior Tyrone O'Garro (Newark, N.J./Saint Peter's Prep) in the final minute of regulation and then back-to-back threes from sophomore Earl Potts Jr. (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding ) with seconds remaining in overtime to pull out an 82-79 victory.  On Saturday, January 30 at LIU Brooklyn it was sophomore Darian Anderson (Washington, D.C./St. John's College ) dropping in a fall-away jumper for the win with 17 seconds remaining in regulation to beat the Blackbirds.  It was also Anderson who made the go-ahead bucket with 26 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Knights and 86-82 victory over Saint Francis U on January 28.

Three, Three, Three:  Trailing 79-73 with just 1:46 left in overtime the Knights hit three-pointers on their next three possessions to come back and win 82-79.  Freshman Darnell Edge (Saugerties, N.Y./Saugerties) hit a three and, after a Wagner miss, sophomore Earl Potts Jr. (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding ) followed with the tying three.  Sophomore Marques Townes (Edison, N.J./St. Joseph (Metuchen)) took a charge to get FDU its final possession, Townes also grabbed a pair of offensive rebounds and then passed out to Potts who buried a three-pointer from the corner for the win.

Double Double-Double:  Sophomore Earl Potts Jr. (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding ) delivered 22 points and 11 rebounds, while freshman Mike Holloway (Pittsgrove, N.J./Arthur P. Schalick ) posted 17 points and 10 boards as both players finished with double-doubles.  It marks the first time that two Knights posted a double-double in the same game since Lonnie Robinson and George Goode did it against LIU Brooklyn on January 12, 2012.*  The double-double was the fourth of the year for Potts and the second for Holloway.  (*Sports-Reference.com)

Climbing the National Rankings:  The Knights rank among the top teams nationally in several statistical categories this season (as of 2/5), particularly when it comes to steals and turnovers.  FDU ranks 24th nationally in steals per game at 8.2.  The team is also 26th in total steals (181) and 26th in turnover margin (3.0).  The Knights also rank among the top-30 percent of teams in scoring (83rd at 77.8 ppg) and field goal percentage (91st at 45.6%).  Individually, Darian Anderson (Washington, D.C./St. John's College ) ranks 36th in steals per game (1.95) and 34th in total steals (43).
