About John Feinstein:
Feinstein has authored 36 books, both non-fiction and fiction, primarily focused on the world of sports.

He is well known for his book A Season on the Brink, which chronicaled the 1985-86 Indiana University men's basketball team under head coach Bobby Knight.  Since its publication, many authors have followed Feinstein's path and followed a single team for an entire season.

The book was later adapted as a movie by ESPN.

Feinstein has also written extensively on professional golf, particularly the U.S. Open.

He has branched out into fiction writing a sports-mystery series for young adults.

He has worked in radio for CBS Sports and as a television contributor for the Golf Channel.

During his career he has worked in print media for The Washington Post, Sporting News and Golf Digest.
