The Knights got on the board in the second inning with junior
Joel Roman (East Hartford, Conn./East Hartford) scoring on junior
John Giakas (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville)' ground out to second base.
The Mountaineers would tie the game with a solo home run in the sixth, but FDU quickly answered with freshman
Bobby Romano (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan ) plating a run on a sacrifice fly in the seventh.
In the eighth, the Knights scored seven runs to break the game open. The big hits of the frame were doubles by Giakas, senior
Shane Siebler (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) and senior
