Box Score TEANECK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson baseball team fell to Big East member St. John's on Friday afternoon at the Naimoli Family Baseball Complex.  The Red Storm improve to 6-7 with the 13-5 victory, while the Knights fall to 2-5 with the loss.
After falling behind, 2-0 in the top of the first, FDU answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame.  Sophomore 
Matt McCann (West Windsor, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro ) singled to open the game and junior 
Dylan Sprague (Brunswick, N.Y./Averill Park) followed with a base hit to right.  After a fielder's choice forced Sprague out at second, junior 
Patrick McClure (Fayetteville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius ) doubled home McCann to score the Knights first run of the game.  Junior 
Joel Roman (East Hartford, Conn./East Hartford) followed with a high drive to center, which hit off the wall for an RBI double to tie the game at 2-2.
St. John's added a run in the third, four in the fifth and four more in the sixth to take an 11-2 lead.
The Knights were able to cut into the deficit with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning.  Roman doubled to left field to score McClure, who had led off the inning with a double, and then with one out senior 
Riley Moonan (Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero North) score Roman with a base hit through the right side.
The Red Storm would add a pair of insurance runs in the top of the ninth to make it 13-4 and the Knights would plate a single run in the bottom of the frame on an RBI double by McCann.
McCann and senior 
Riley Moonan (Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero North) each had three hits in the game to lead the Knights.  Both players also scored and drove in a run.  McClure and 
Joel Roman (East Hartford, Conn./East Hartford) both recorded two hits and scored a run.  Roman delivered a pair of RBI for FDU, while McClure also knocked in a run.
McClure and Roman each doubled twice in the game.
Chris Kalica of St. John's earned the win by allowing four runs on eight hits in five innings of work.  St. John's would use six relievers to work the final four innings.
Junior 
Nick Cuono (Hawthorne, N.J./Montvale Saint Joseph ) took the loss for the Knights he allowed four earned runs over four innings.  He allowed four hits and walked five.
Tyler Sanchez had the big hit for the Red Storm, a three run double in the fifth inning that broke the game open.
The Knights will host UMass Lowell on Sunday for a doubleheader with the first pitch of game one scheduled for 12 p.m.
