Box Score MORGANTOWN, W. Va. - West Virginia started the game on a nine-to-nothing run and did not look back as the Mountaineers cruised past Fairleigh Dickinson 91-47 on Sunday afternoon.
The Mountaineers (6-2) scored 44 points off 29 Knight turnovers. The 91 points are the most points that the Knights (1-6) have surrendered since giving up 110 to Saint Francis U back in 2013-14.
The Knights got 12 points--new career high--from
Madelynn Comly (Littlestown, Pa./Delone Catholic), who scored nine in the first half.
Brianna Thomas (Baldwin, N.Y./St. John the Baptist Diocesan) scored eight--six coming off two three-pointers.
Erika Livermore (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) had seven and
Kelsey Cruz (Chester, Va./Lloyd C. Bird) had six.

Peter Cinella told FDUKnights.com. [Madelynn] Comly showed good grit on defense and scored in double figure, [Brianna] Thomas hit a pair of threes in the second half and [Jackie] Jackson played well in the second half. Freshmen,
Natalie Zamora (Albuquerque, N.M./St. Pius X) and
Peniel M'Bikata (Abbotsford, British Columbia/W.J. Mouat Secondary) gave us good effort. We now have to get ready for our eight-game home stand."
Four different Mountaineers had at least 8 points in the first half, which allowed West Virginia to take a 46-14 lead into the halftime intermission. Katrina Pardee led West Virginia with 19 points on the afternoon. Teana Mudlow came off the bench to score 17 for West Virginia.
After the Knights stopped the nine-to-nothing run to open the game, the Mountaineers then scored 10 of the next 12 points to extend the lead to 19-5 at the 2:19 mark of the first quarter.
West Virginia used a 12-0 run in the third quarter to take their largest lead of the game at 72-21.
The Knights return to the court on Wednesday when they host Saint Peter's at the Stratis Arena inside the Rothman Center. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game against the Peacocks kicks-off an eight-game home stand for the Knights.
