GAME DETAILS
FDU (1-3) vs. Delaware (1-1)
Where: Bob Carpenter Center – Newark, Del.
When: Tuesday, November 24, 2015 – 7 p.m.
Series History: FDU leads 2-0
First Meeting: 12/29/84 – FDU W, 87-84
Last Meeting: 12/20/14 – FDU W, 76-74
Last FDU Win: 12/20/14 – W, 76-74

Series History: The Knights are 2-0 all-time against the University of Delaware, including last season's 76-74 victory at Stratis Arena.  Prior to that contest, the teams had not met in 30 years.  The only other meeting came on Dec. 29, 1984 a 87-84 victory for the Knights.

FDU 76, Delaware 74:  Last season the Knights edged the Blue Hens in the final minute of regulation with Earl Potts Jr. (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding ) hitting two free throws with 26 seconds left to give FDU a 75-74 lead.  Darian Anderson (Washington, D.C./St. John's College ) recorded a steal on the ensuing possession and then hit a free throw to put the Knights up by two points with Potts picking up a steal to close out the game.  Anderson led the Knights with 16 points; Potts followed that up with 14.

Where the Points Come From:  Of the Knights' 312 points this season 283 have come sophomores or freshmen, which is 91% of FDU's scoring this season.  The underclassmen are also responsible for 90% (718 minutes) of the teams 800 minutes this season.

Strong Showing From Malik Miller (Troy, N.Y./Catholic Central ):  The 6-9 freshman center came off the bench to play 19 minutes.  He registered nine points and five rebounds while showing good athleticism around the basket.

Making Steals (Rankings as of 11/22): Through four games the Knights rank 11th in the nation in total steals with 37 and sit 38th among NCAA Division I teams in steals per game at 9.3.  Individually, Marques Townes (Edison, N.J./St. Joseph (Metuchen)) ranks 12th in the nation in steals with 10.

Last Time Out:  The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team fell to Fordham, 85-62, on Saturday afternoon at the historic Rose Hill Gym.  The Knights (1-3) were led by 15 points from sophomore Earl Potts Jr. (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding ) while the Rams (2-1) used a balanced offensive attack that featured five players with double-digit points.

The Knights started slowly, but began to click offensively following the second media timeout of the first half.  The Rams hit a free throw coming out of the timeout, but FDU followed with seven straight points and eventually cut the Fordham lead to a single-point at 17-16.

The teams remained close over the ensuing minutes, but Fordham scored the final seven points of the first half.  The Rams held FDU scoreless over a three-minute and 27-second stretch to close the period.

Coach G on the Fordham Game:  "The way we turned the basketball over today was very uncharacteristic of our team.  We just couldn't pass or dribble the ball and it put a great deal of pressure on our defense all game long.  What I did like was how our second group came off the bench and contributed-especially Malik Miller (Troy, N.Y./Catholic Central ).  He earned some minutes tonight.  We just have to keep teaching, learning and working and we will be fine. It's just a shame that if we played better offense tonight we could have won this game." – Greg Herenda following the Fordham Game
