Last Time OutThe Knights picked up their first road victory since 2012 when they defeated Manhattan in Riverdale, N.Y. by a score of 73-54. It was also the largest margin of victory since a 37-point victory over Wagner in 2012.
Erika Livermore (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area), after sitting out the entire 2013-14 season due to injury, returned with a statement game of 22 points (on 8-of-18 shooting) and 16 rebounds to go along with a pair of blocks and a steal, and deservedly was named the Northeast Conference's Player of the Week. Four other FDU players joined Livermore in double-digit scoring, including
Valerie Oyakhilome (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) and
Brianna Thomas (Baldwin, N.Y./St. John the Baptist Diocesan), both of whom scoring all of their 14 points in the second half. Senior point guard
Amanda Andrades (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) added 13 points, five rebounds, five assists, and a game-high four steals while playing every minute.

What You Need To Know: The three Highlanders who racked up double-digit points in last season's meeting have since graduated and only Alyssa Albanese remains. The now-senior guard Albanese tallied 12 points and 10 assists a year ago. NJIT, through two games, are led by sophomore forward Leah Horton's 28 points and 20 rebounds and Albanese, who is averaging 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1.5 steals.
