W. Soccer Hits the Road for Two Weekend Contests

TEANECK, N.J. -- TEANECK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team begins a four-game stretch on the road starting with a pair of games this weekend. The Knights will travel to Easton, Pa. for a Friday night game at Lafayette at 7 p.m. before heading down the Garden State Parkway to visit in-state rival Monmouth on Sunday night for a 6 p.m. kickoff.

Last Time Out
The Knights were clipped by Hartford, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon at University Stadium via two set-piece goals and one against the run of play. Despite the score line, senior Sage DoVale (Lilburn, Ga./Collins Hill) had three saves and commanded her area very well.

Lafayette

What You Need To Know: Lafayette is off to a great start this season, currently sitting at 3-1. Alyssa Finelli leads the Leopards with five points in three games played. Freshman Danielle Sedillo has been in goal ever since halftime of the first game of the season when she replaced Senior Kelly Sposato due to injury. This season she has allowed four goals in 3.5 games along with 11 saves.
 
Monmouth

Where: West Long Branch, N.J. (The Great Lawn)

What You Need To Know: Standout Freshman Alexis McTamney is off to a torrid start to her season and was recently announced as the ECAC Division I Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after two consecutive rookie of the week awards. She leads the team with 11 points. Senior forward Dana Costello is next in line with seven points on two goals and three assists. Graduate student Ashley Lewis is enjoying a great campaign in her first season as the starting keeper, posting four shutouts in five games and two goals allowed. She has 16 saves and a .889 save percentage. The Hawks are currently ranked No. 10 in the NSCAA Northeast rankings.
