HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling team will resume play this weekend when it travels to Millsboro, Del. to participate in the UMES Hawk Classic Nov. 15-17. This event will feature many of the top teams in the nation, including 12 of the top 20 ranked teams in the country.
Last weekend, the Knights competed in NEC Meet #1, finishing 6-3 over the two-day competition. FDU finished right behind Saint Francis University, who had the tournament's best record of 6-2. However, the Knights did beat the Red Flash in their final game of the weekend, getting revenge for an earlier loss.
Junior
Liat Vizenfeld (Holon, Israel/Campus Kiryat Sharet) led FDU and the field with a total pin fall of 1305 and an average of 217.50. Freshman
Melanie Hannon (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Maryvale) was fourth overall with a 201.17 average over six games.
So far this year, the Knights have accumulated a 16-6 overall record, with six wins coming against top-10 opponents.
FDU returns to action in three weeks for NEC Meet #2, which will be hosted by Sacred Heart in Wallingford, Conn, Dec. 7-8.
