"It's a disappointing loss because a win there could have put some daylight between us and second place in the overall standings, but now it's one game,” said Head Coach Mike LoPresti. “More importantly it's the second straight week that we lost the final match of the final day of an event. To be an elite team, you need to win those matches. We need to reevaluate our approach and make some improvements."
With the loss to SHU, the Knights finished 3-1 on the day for a 7-2 record on the weekend. The Knights earned the first-place ranking, with a one-game lead on Sacred Heart.
