The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team will look to end a season-high five-game losing streak when they travel to Louisville, KY to take on the Cardinals of Louisville (No. 4 ESPN/USA Today; No. 5 Associate Press). Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at the KFC Yum! Center. The game will mark the final game of six straight away from Stratis Arena for the Knights.
The Knights (1-7) are coming off their worst defeat of the season this past Wednesday at Stony Brook, 70-46. Despite committing 12 turnovers in the first half, FDU was still only down 30-22 at halftime because it held Stony Brook to only 30 percent shooting. To start the second half, the Seawolves scored 18 of the first 20 points and outscored the Knights, 30-8 (when Stony Brook led 20-18 in the first half), to take a 50-26 which allowed them to cruise to the easy victory.

Lonnie Hayes (Cincinnati, Ohio/Harmony Prep) (15.3 ppg) failed to score a single point on the night but dished out a team-high four assists.
Scouting Louisville: The Cardinals (8-0) come into the game ranked nationally in both the ESPN/USA Today poll (No. 4) and the Associated Press Poll (No. 5). They have opened the season 8-0 for the second-straight year, the first time in school history they have accomplished this feat. Louisville has played seven of its eight games at home, winning in double-figures in five of them. This past Wednesday, the Cardinals blew open a five-point halftime lead (40-35) over IUPUI into a 30-point win (90-60). Louisville, which was picked to finish third in the Big East Conference, narrowly defeated Ohio (59-54) at home and rallied for an exciting 62-60 overtime win at home over No. 20/19 Vanderbilt. The Cardinals lone road contest was a 69-53 win at Butler.
Louisville has very balanced scoring as five guys average at least 9.0 points per game. Senior Kyle Kuric leads the team in scoring, averaging 12.3 points per game and is shooting 50 percent (38-of-76) from the floor, while averaging 35.4 minutes per game. Senior Chris Smith is the team's second-leading scorer, averaging 10.9 points per game, while shooting 49.1 percent (28-of-57). He has also knocked down 21-of-25 free throws (84.0 percent) and is the team's leading three-point shooter at 41.7 percent (10-of-24). Freshman Chane Behanan is nearly averaging a double-double with 9.9 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game and is also shooting just under 50 percent (30-of-61). Sophomore Gorgui Dieng is the team's leading rebounder at 8.6 rebounds per game and is also averaging 9.4 points per game, while leading the team in shooting at 61.7 percent (29-of-47). Junior Peyton Siva leads the team in assists at 4.5 assists per game and is chipping in 9.3 points per game. He is also the team's best free throw shooter at 86.2 percent (25-of-29).
All-Time Series: This will only be the third meeting between the schools with Louisville winning both contests on its former home court, Freedom Hall. The first meeting took play almost 25 years to the day as Louisville defeated the Knights on December 8, 1986, 82-74. The only other meeting took place on December 28, 2005 as the Cardinals won 89-66.
