Women's Soccer Falls at CCSU, 2-0

The Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team lost a road Northeast Conference match Friday afternoon, 2-0, to Central Connecticut State in New Britain, CT.  The home team scored a pair of goals with under four minutes to go in the clinch the match.  With the victory, the Blue Devils improve to 9-8-1 (5-3-1 NEC) on the season, while the Knights fall to 2-15-0 (2-7-0 NEC) overall.

After both teams failed to score for the first 85 minutes of the game, CCSU's Annie Freer scored on an assist from Kerriann Welch to go up, 1-0, in the 86th minute.  A little over two minutes later, Allison Kelley scored on an assist from Beth Lloyd to put the Blue Devils up, 2-0, which would be the final outcome.

The Blue Devils outshot the Knights, 12-1.  Junior goalkeeper Stephanie Tanzi (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West) made three saves in net for the Knights.

Fairleigh Dickinson will conclude its season on Sunday, October 31, with a road match versus NEC-foe Quinnipiac.  Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
