Women's Soccer Loses at Monmouth, 4-0

The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's soccer team's Northeast Conference opener resulted in a 4-0 defeat to Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ, Friday, Sept. 29. Three second-half goals sunk the Knights (1-7-1, 0-1), as Andrea Lopez's (Oakhurst, NJ) goal and two assists propelled the Hawks (6-2-1, 1-0) to the win.

 

Senior goalkeeper Kyla Clark (/Notre Dame/Univ. of Texas - El Paso) (Ottawa, Ontario) stopped nine shots, as FDU endured an 18-3 disadvantage in corner kicks. Two Hawk goals were byproducts of corners.

 

Freshman midfielder Lora Lehr (Rosemere, Quebec/Villa Maria) (Rosemere, Quebec) turned in a team-best three shots.

 

The Knights travel to Mount St. Mary's ? who dropped their NEC opener to Sacred Heart, 2-0, Friday ? at 1:00 p.m. in Emmitsburg, MD
