Fairleigh Dickinson men's golfer U Minn Woon was named the Northeast Conference Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday, April 2.

In his third collegiate start, Woon battled windy conditions, gusts up to 25 miles per hour, in the opening round of the Whiting-Turner Towson Invitational (March 31-April 1). The freshman shot a 2-over-par 74 to end the first round in second place. He then made his move in the final round, shooting an even-par 72 and winning the individual title by two strokes. Woon led the Knights to a second-place finish in a field of 22 teams.
