FDU Knights Athletics

Sophomore John Giakas hit .455 (5-for-11) with one run and two RBI in the Knights three games down in Davidson, N.C., Feb, 21-23 against Davidson and Lehigh. He tallied a pair of multi-hit games on the weekend, including a 3-for-3 effort in the win over Lehigh, which included a double, one run and two RBI
 
Giakas was responsible in the Knights' early 3-0 lead in their victory. He scored the first run on a sacrifice fly after leading off the bottom of the second with a single out of the cleanup spot, before delivering a big two-out-two run double down the left-field line the bottom of the third to extend the lead to 3-0. With FDU trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth, Giakas led the frame off with a single and was then lifted for a pinch runner
