FDU Knights Athletics

2019: Started all 42 games in which he appeared batting .281 with six home runs, 22 RBI and 32 runs scored in his final season with the Knights..In addition he added seven doubles to his ledger and registered a .429 on-base percentage..Finished his career ranked fourth all-time at FDU in runs scored with 132...Named to the Knights 2010's All-Decade Team.

2018: Earned a medical redshirt after appearing in 15 games. Batted .231 with 12 hits, five doubles and six RBI across his 15 starts.

2017: Led the NEC with nine home runs on the season..Finished with a .289 batting average and 48 hits across his 45 games as the Knights' primary third baseman...Totaled 166 at bats, 41 RBI, 41 runs scored and 12 stolen bases on 15 tries..Finished with a .512 slugging percentage, which was third best on the team

2016: Played in 46 games and made 42 starts. Batted .303 on the season with 36 runs scored, three home runs, 25 RBI, eight doubles and a team-high three triples.

2015:  Played immediately as a freshman seeing action in 42 games and making 39 starts as the Knights’ third baseman...Also saw limited time at shortstop…Hit .234 on the season with 26 hits in 111 at bats…Slugged seven extra-base hits, five doubles, one triple and a home run…Collected 14 RBI and scored 13 runs…Had a .328 on-base percentage and a .324 slugging percentage…Was two-of-two on stolen base attempts…Finished third on the team with 103 assists defensively…Hit his only home run of the season on May 2 against LIU Brooklyn…Had five multi-hit games…Drove in a career-high three runs with a bases clearing triple in FDU’s victory over Bryant in the first game of the NEC Tournament… Registered his first collegiate hit on March 1 at Seattle University.

Archbishop Ryan High School: Played three years of varsity baseball under head coach Gerry Eck… was named to the First Team All-Catholic football team in 2012… Junior year had a .489 average with three home runs and 28 RBI’s… Senior year had a .454 batting average with four home runs and 26 RBI’s.

Personal: Played for the Chester County Crawdads… Born August 6, 1996… Son of Bob and Maureen Romano… One brother Matt, 15… Business Major.
