TEANECK, N.J. - The FDU Men's Soccer team has been hovering around the nation's best, and in the latest series of polls and rankings, the Knights remained the same. FDU was slated as the number 23rd ranked team in the most recent version of the RPI rankings, published by both the NCAA as well as UniGol.
The Knights also have the attention from coaches in the Northeast and around the country, as FDU is ranked eighth in the United Soccer Coaches Northeast Region Poll.
FDU has won six matches to start the season, as the Knights concluded the non-conference section of the schedule with a win against UMass on the road. The six victories in the non-NEC slate tie for the most of any FDU Men's Soccer Team since 2017.
The Knights have had key wins over several quality Northeast region foes such as 2-1 wins against La Salle and Rider. The Knights also picked up a huge victory in the city of Brotherly Love, topping the Villanova Wildcats with a second half goal.
The burgundy and blue will open NEC play in the windy city, taking on Chicago State for a Sunday afternoon matchup. Kick off is set for 1 p.m. and the match will be streamed on NEC Front Row.
